Auston Matthews scored his NHL-leading 40th goal to reach 600 career points, and the Toronto Maple Leafs completed a home-and-home sweep of the Winnipeg Jets with a 4-2 victory Saturday night.

"I'm just trying to stay consistent, trying to work every night," said Matthews. At 527 games, he's the fastest Toronto player to reach the milestone. "I don't think tonight was necessarily our best game as a line, but I just thought we stayed patient. Just try to stay with it, get an opportunity on the power play and make good on it."

Bo Horvat scored 41 seconds into overtime and the New York Islanders defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 on Sunday night to win new coach Patrick Roy's debut.

Alexander Romanov and Hudson Fasching also scored for New York, and defenseman Noah Dobson had two assists. Ilya Sorokin finished with 41 saves in front of a raucous home crowd.

Marc-Andre Fleury took sole possession of second place with his 552nd win in the NHL, posting his 74th career shutout as the Minnesota Wild defeated the New York Islanders 5-0 on Monday.

Seven days after he appeared in his 1,000th game, joining only three other goaltenders in NHL history, Marc-Andre Fleury notched his 551st career win, when Marco Rossi scored 3:05 into overtime of the Minnesota Wild's 4-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

Fleury, who stopped 25 shots including one that would have sealed a Blue Jackets win late in the third period, is tied with Patrick Roy for second all time among NHL goalies. Roy is among the three Hall of Famers who Fleury sits with in the 1,000-game club, along with Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo.
